Capstone Balance of EDDE 804 Objectives

¡Hola! With this post I intend to wrap-up my Capstone Project, initiated as a series of posts in this blog in January and concluding in April, by collating them with the objectives for EDDE-804, as stated here:

1. Present, critique and apply general leadership theory.
2. Demonstrate knowledge regarding multiple leadership theories.
3. Outline central issues in educational leadership in North America and beyond.
4. Apply leadership theory to social problems, particularly in relation to education.
5. Synthesize the opportunities presented by leadership theory to the issues and innovations of distance and distributed learning networks.
6. Integrate and apply innovative leadership strategies for distance and distributed education in relation to the needs of education and training broadly.
7. Use case-based methods to strategize and problem-solve in education using leadership interventions.
8. Review and consider project management techniques as a leadership function.
9. Reflect on, evaluate, and demonstrate personal leadership competencies.

As corollary, I must say this course, EDDE-804, Leadership and Project Management in Distance Education, has provided me with a completely new perspective on the processes and interactions within communities of teaching and learning, on leadership, project management, emotional variables and skills, and even my own plans for the future in terms of my dissertation, academic and professional roles, and my responsibility as an educational leader for the common good, the enriching of academia and society in Costa Rica, and the defense of a national project in times of neoliberal storms and environmental threats. 

In fact, I am truly grateful, for nothing seems out of reach at this moment of my life!
